Born in Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan, in 1975. After working at Nippon Design Center, he joined the design company Match & Company.
His wide range of work includes editing and book design of photobooks by Japan's leading photographers, from young to master photographers, editorial design for magazines and books, and record covers for musicians. In 2005, to take on the challenge of publishing and distributing his photobooks, he launched the photobook label "M" and at the same time co-founded the photobook sales company "bookshop M". Since 2008, he has been exhibiting in the book sector of PARIS PHOTO, one of the world's largest photography fairs, pursuing the possibilities of Japanese book design from a global perspective, while at the same time fulfilling his responsibility to communicate Japan's excellent paper, printing, and bookbinding techniques to the world.
