Juh Almeida

Juh Almeida is a Brazilian filmmaker and photographer recognized for her contribution to contemporary audiovisual storytelling. Born in Bahia and working between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, she has built a career defined by aesthetic originality and versatility across multiple formats, including film, television, advertising, and photography. She was one of the directors of the award-winning telenovela Vai na Fé, produced by Rede Globo, a milestone in Brazilian television drama. Her short films, such as Eu, Negra, Irun Orí, and Náufraga, have received international awards and recognition, solidifying her unique visual signature in the cinematic landscape. Holding a master’s degree in Audiovisual Media and Processes from the University of São Paulo (USP), Juh combines technical expertise and artistic sensibility to craft powerful narratives, actively contributing to the evolution of audiovisual language in Brazil.
